Newborn baby photo sessions are not only about those cute sleepy shots but also showing connection and love of the whole family, and that includes pets! Especially if it’s a magnificent bulldog Horatio who I fell in love with immediately! Such a fun photoshoot!
This little guy was an absolute pro during his awesome lifestyle baby photography session in London! I loved every minute working on this family photoshoot, it was such fun! Mum had planned the timings perfectly, I arrived during baby’s morning nap, set up my white backdrop and fluffy rug, and I also brought wooden chair and a selection of cute knitted rompers and hats. All the styling is discussed via email prior to the photoshoot. Mum has also prepared a few adorable baby outfits, so we can try different looks.
Baby woke up and was in a top mood so we started with the studio-looking shots, went through the outfits and had some play with mum and dad.
How cool is this baby kimono!!!
After the studio part of the photo session was done we carried on with natural lifestyle shots around the apartment.
I have a slight obsession with windows as many of my photography clients know:)
Shots on the bed are a must, plenty of options to play and giggle - producing lovely fun natural family photos!
Much needed lunch was in order before heading outside.
Mum wanted modern natural family photos with an urban feel, and picked AMAZING location in Barbican. Old roman ruins and concrete passageways not only look great as a background but also very convenient for family photo session with young children. There are lots of places without people in the background, perfect shadows protecting from harsh direct sunlight and plenty of space for kids to explore and for me to capture genuine fun expressions. It would even work if it rains as there are covered walks.
I can’t wait and come back to photograph my own boys here, love the brutalist architecture!
Beautiful family photo session with a little boy full of personality!
It's lovely to see my "little clients" growing up, lifestyle family photo sessions are my favourite - so natural, relaxed and full of fun!
I photographed this lovely family a while ago - when they've just become THREE. And now this sweet little boy is getting ready to become big brother soon!
Lifestyle photo sessions are my favourite for families with older children, especially if they are done outside in the evening. Love the soft golden light here!
What a stunning mum-to-be I had a pleasure to photograph! Very inspiring! Can't wait to meet the baby!
First time I'm showing off this grey distressed hand-painted canvas background, that my dear husband spent two days working on.
I haven't been so excited in YEARS :) Andy could't go to 20 week scan, so we thought of doing gender reveal session. This way we can find out together and have some fun!
So I asked the sonographer not to tell the sex but write it down and put in an envelope together with the "evidence photo" :)
At home we already had a box and 2 sets of pink and blue balloons prepared. I gave envelope to my assistant Radek who went on with "filling the box". I was so jealous that he found out first!!! :)
The anticipation was just unbearable!
Oh how I love seeing my "baby clients" growing up and taking photos of their families. Toddlers are definitely best photographed outside at a lovely location or at home environment, where they don't have to be forced to sit down, and instead, run free and just being their natural self!
Lovely family photo session at a gorgeous park in Berkshire! The little boy was so adorable and full of energy, he definitely keeps mum and dad busy! :) I always recommend taking toddlers outside to have their photographs done, so they can run around freely and show off their personality!
Hooray! :) Yes, I'm pregnant and have been trying to arrange a photo session for ourselves for ages, but with all the cute newborns and gorgeous families there was no time at all!
I'm about 16 weeks and feeling great, actually forgetting that there is someone inside! The first couple of months were a bit "meh" - I was knackered after sessions and always sleeping in the van on the way home, luckily I have Radek, my assistant, that drives me. He also helps with the editing, and soon will start covering family sessions with older babies. He won't be doing maternity and newborns as that requires a lot of training and patience to get to the level I'd be happy with. He's great with older babies and children, we've worked together for years at the same studio before I went freelance. He also already photographs events, such as birthdays and christenings, which I don't do.
So finally we found the time when both Radek and my little family are free and the the whether is great!
I wanted photographs with a very natural, informal, lifestyle feel. Just us three having a nice walk, fooling around and laughing. I'm very very happy with the results!! :) There was a lot of giggles, boys were in good spirits, Andy even managed to do selfies in between shots, Ben was determined to test his digger everywhere he could and was cracking jokes like a pro. What a great day! :)
UPDATE! We know who we are having:) check this post Gender Reveal Session
Maternity and newborn photography sessions have been very popular recently! Loved photographing this parents-to-be at their cosy home environment in London, also using my studio backgrounds and outside at a nearby park. Newborn baby girl was an absolute dream to work with - very sleepy and so tiny and cute!
Enjoy the photos!
